So sorry I have not added anything to this blog for a while, I am now a new mom and I am adjusting to life with a newborn. She is 8 weeks old now and I have not been able to do much reading.

I have listened to a few audio books and I hope to get to do a few quick write ups sometime, but with my life changing I am not sure when I will get to it.

I am trying to keep a blog of my FTM (First Time Mom) experience, so if you want to follow that you can find it here

Reviews to come

The past three months have been a little crazy, we have an intern staying with us. He will be leaving in 10 days and I hope I can get all the reviews for the books I have read together and get them posted soon after. I have not stopped reading during this time, but it did slow down drastically. I can’t wait to get back to listening to my audio books.

Page (Protector of the Small Quartet 2)

Like the first book, this is a continuation of Kel’s journey to become a Knight. This book encompasses the next three years as a Page, I really liked that the author did this, as there are many things that would repeat in 4 years of training that just gets harder with each year.

I think Kel really comes into herself in the book, she is more determined to stop the drastic hazing and has help. A dog, Jump, adopts her and adds to the menagerie of birds that already hang around with her. I didn’t love what happened to Kel at the end of this book, but I understand. I am so hooked on this series, I have purchased all of them and I feel like this is a book I could recommend to a young reader, and it will probably be one I read to my kids when I have kids.

As I read books, either for a good reads book group or on my own I am going to post my reviews here. I hope to get some dialog going as I really like debating books and talking about my favorite books with people.

I am new to blogging, but I really hope that this is something that will bring enjoyment, not only for myself but for everyone who reads this. I know we will not always have the same opinions but I hope that I can introduce people to some of my favorite books and perhaps I will gain a few new favorites as well. (I hope to get some suggestions on books to review).

So a little about me, I am 29 and grew up loving books (mostly YA fantasy, YA Fiction, Fantasy and science fiction), most of my family didn’t understand my love of books but that never stopped me. I volunteered at my public library when I was in middle school, and I have a bachelors in English (though my current job does not reflect that degree). Along with reading I love animals, crafting, poetry, photography and nature, to name a few.
